Sara Little is a criminal defence lawyer based in Toronto, Ontario. Sara’s practice focuses exclusively on criminal and regulatory matters at the appellate level.
Sara has experience as a summer student, articling student and associate with some of the leading criminal law boutiques in Toronto. Following her articling term, Sara completed a Judicial Clerkship at the Court of Appeal for Ontario where she clerked for some of the top criminal law jurists in the province.
Sara obtained her Juris Doctor from Windsor Law in 2020 where she graduated at the top of her class. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021. During her time at Windsor Law, Sara competed in both the Gale Cup and Arnup Cup moots. Her team placed second overall at the Arnup Cup, qualifying for nationals. Sara also worked as both a Research and Teaching Assistant for a David Tanovich, a leading Canadian criminal law scholar.
In 2019, Sara founded Little Legal Summaries, a blog providing comprehensive summaries of leading criminal appellate decisions from the Court of Appeal for Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada. Her blog received a Canadian Legal Blog Award in 2019. This site represents the relaunch of Little Legal Summaries, now bigger and better than ever.
